Strategy for providing special training to the out of school children

• State RTE rules no.-3 for the purpose of the provision under section 4 of RTE, Act, 2009, SMC or local authority/teachers shall identify the children requiring special training and organize special training.

• Special training should be provided in classes held in the premises of the school or through classes organized in safe residential facilities.

• It may be provided by the teachers working in the school or by the teachers specially appointed for the purpose.

• the durations of the training shall be for the minimum period of three months which may be extended based on periodical assessment of the training progress of the child, for maximum period not exceeding two years.

• The child shall upon induction into age appropriate class, after special training continue to receive special attentions by the teacher to enable him/her to successfully integrate with the rest of children in the class, academically and emotionally.

• Keeping in view, the State RTE norms, special training in District Solan is being provided through NRST centres in three blocks namely Dharampur, Nalagarh and Ramsheshar.
